Yesterday we had tremendous fine weather here in Northern germany. So I had to  sketch outside on the spot, rather than in the studio. 

This led me to the wonderful fairy tale castle of Marienburg.

Nun fallen auch wieder zu Tausenden die mit spitzen Stacheln bewehrten Früchte zu Boden. Da muss man sie nicht extra aus dem Feuer holen.

Dieses Jahr habe ich endlich wieder damit begonnen, von Zeit zu Zeit eine kleine Joggingrunde im benachbarten Park zu drehen. Spaßigerweise tragen die damals dafür neu gekauften Schuhe sogar meine Initialen.

This year, I finally started to keep fit by jogging around in the park from time to time. Funny, that the shoes, which I bought, wear my initials.

Gestern fand das bereits zweiundzwanzigste Skizzentreffen der Hannoveraner Urban Sketcher statt. Das Wetter spielte gut mit und so hatten wir auch sehr schöne sonnige Abschnitte.

Besonders gern mag ich die Siesta-Stimmung am Mittag in den südlichen Ländern. Dann ist sind viele Geschäfte geschlossen, die Sonne steht hoch am Himmel und die Kontraste sind stark.

I especially like the siesta atmosphere at midday in the southern countries. Most small shops are closed, the sun is high and the contrasts are strong.

Bei schönstem Wetter machten wir gestern einen kleinen Ausflug in die Lüneburger Heide in den idyllischen und autofreien Ort Wilsede.

In bright weather we made a small trip to Wilsede in the Lueneburger Heide. No cars and very idyllic and picturesque.

Oder eigentlich Ferrocarril de Sóller, welche die Bahnstrecke von Palma de Mallorca zu den Orangenplantagen an der Nordwestküste darstellt. Inzwischen eine reine Touristenbahn.

Slow Train Coming

Or actually the Ferrocarril de Sóller, which represents the railway line from Palma de Mallorca to the orange plantations on the northwest coast. Meanwhile a pure tourist train.

Santa Ponsa ist zwar ausschließlich touristisch ausgelegt, hat aber auch -äh- nette Details und ein schönes Umland. Hier gibt es zum Beispiel auch einen kleinen schattigen Pinienhain direkt zwischen Strandpromenade und Meer.

Santa Ponsa is designed exclusively for tourists, but also has some -uhm- nice details and a beautiful surrounding. Here, for example, there is also a small shady pine forest directly between the beach promenade and the sea.
